Tour operator easyJet has introduced an interesting twist on the ‘Kids Go Free’ concept by replicating it for grandparents. After finding that over half of people (51%) have never travelled with their grandparents and children together but 57% said they want to make more memories with their grandparents, easyJet introduced their ‘Grans Go Free’ concept.
This concept is relevant for several reasons. Firstly, it allows for more intergenerational bonding and quality time. Secondly it helps prevent loneliness among older people, especially if they no longer have a partner. Dutch figures suggest that 54% of people aged over 75 indicate that they feel lonely.
So how can your brand stimulate or facilitate intergenerational learning and quality time?
