Enuove, a Japanese wedding jewellery brand, has opened a cafe called ‘Dial’ in Tokyo around the concept of (couple) connection. The cafe, which serves breakfast, lunch and desserts, is equipped with nifty drawers at the entrance that contain light, mid or deep conversation starters. In the form of questions, couples (or friends) can discuss their views, values, or simply interesting facts, leading to a deeper connection.
And deeper connections are essential as quality time with your loved ones leads to a happier relationship. Research shows that spouses who spent “time alone with each other, talking, or sharing an activity” at least once per week were 3.5 times more likely to be very happy in their marriage than spouses who did so less frequently.
In a time where people lack time for bonding and our social connections are under pressure, you can be meaningful as a brand by facilitating and stimulating quality time. So how can you bring people closer together, be it with fun little prompts or deepening existing relationships?
