The best ideas often arise when you truly understand your customers’ needs and can make people’s lives easier. And that is exactly what France’s national post office realized. In a time wherein a big part of clothes shopping happens online, our lives have in many ways become more streamlined.
The one issue though; you’re never sure if it’s going to fit you perfectly. And if it doesn’t you are confronted with the flipside of this convenience: you are required to pack up your order again, print a return label and bring it back to your post office. It might even be raining.
But what if you can try on your clothes right when you pick up your package at the post office? That is why some post offices have been fitted with changing rooms. Do they fit? Great! And if not, you can return them right away.
This is a smart example of an institution being aware of the needs of modern consumers and actively making an effort to accommodate them. Additionally, it’s a more sustainable solution since it collects more returns at just one pick-up point. So how can you play into the (unorthodox) needs of modern consumers?
