Our approach

20 years of experience in aligning business with humanity to reimagine how value is created.

Growth comes from aligning what businesses create with what people and society truly value. This alignment must run through strategy, brand, innovation, leadership, culture and customer experience. The better the alignment, the greater the potential for sustained growth.

How we create value

Value
Alignment
System

Three steps. One continuous process.

Sustainable growth happens when external human needs align with internal business decisions. Most organizations lose that alignment: strategy, culture and execution drift apart, and value leaks between ambition and reality.

Two decades of testing and proofing, across hundreds of projects on every continent and in every kind of industry, turned into one simple method to close that gap: from trends outside to impact inside. That is what TrendsActive stands for.

01

Discover

Future Value

Understand where value changes.

OutsideInside

We map the human context around your business: the societal, generational and gender shifts that change what people value. That shows where value is leaking and where the next growth is.

For example

  • Trend monitoring
  • Quick value assessment
02

Define

Strategic Value

Turn understanding into strategic clarity.

We turn human understanding into strategic clarity, helping you identify opportunities, prioritize what's next and define a clear direction for growth, brand, innovation and your people.

For example

  • Brand positioning
  • Value propositions
03

Deliver

Organizational Value

Deliver it consistently.

TranslationInsideExecutionOutside

We help leaders and employees embrace that strategy and carry it through culture, communication and customer experience, so the promise is kept every day.

For example

  • Leadership programs
  • Communication review

Our secret weapon

How to find human value?

Value is created outside the organization, in how people’s needs, values and behaviour change. The question is how to capture it before anyone else does. Our answer, and what sets us apart, is sociocultural trends.

Geopolitical, environmental, economic, technological and demographic forces reshape what people need. Products and industries respond with short-term answers that are quickly copied. In between run the deeper, slower shifts in what people value. That is where we look, so you can anticipate instead of follow.

Based on interdisciplinary research from the human sciences (sociology, psychology, anthropology and cultural studies), we have followed how human needs and values change for more than twenty years.

We turned that research into one practical model: the Human Context Circle™. It is the lens we look through on every project, and the reason our advice holds up in the real world.

The human context circle™

A framework built on two decades of human science research, highlighting the most relevant changes in human needs and behaviour. It consists of:

Societal context
These insights reflect long term shifts in attitudes, behaviors, preferences, and values of a general population.
Generational context
Generational trends refer to the distinct characteristics, attitudes, behaviors, and values shared by individuals within the same formative years.
Gender context
Gender trends refer to the shifts and changes in how society perceives, defines, and interacts with concepts of gender.

So where is future value found? We start with the business context: the challenge, the strategy and business model, the industry, target groups, competition and culture.

Then we hold it against the Human Context Circle™ to find the (mis)matches between what drives people’s choices and what drives your strategy. Where they meet are your value drivers: the outside, applied on the inside.
